Mid-Century Vienna
Wien Museum Open Air Exhibition
The exhibition accompanying my book project on the construction fence of the Vienna Museum presented 102 large-format representatives of Mid-Century Vienna according to the modular principle: shapes, colours and typical materials invited visitors to rediscover the city with a sharpened perception.
The exhibition location, in one of Vienna’s most central squares, was a perfect fit for the theme: the Historical Museum of the City of Vienna (today: Wien Museum), built in 1959 by architect Josef Haertl, was undergoing extensive renovation at the time.
