For over 150 years, the Vienna Library in Town Hall has been collecting books and magazines about Vienna, manuscripts and estates of important Viennese personalities. The unique collections of the Vienna Library in Town Hall make it not only a memory of the city, but also, due to Vienna’s location and history, a central international space of knowledge and remembrance.

With the introduction of the City of Vienna’s corporate design, the Vienna Library in City Hall lost its distinctive logo. The on-site branding for the premises in Vienna Town Hall is subject to the city’s guidelines, but attempts to exploit these to the fullest extent possible and adapt them to the requirements of a cultural institution. The bar elements reference the long-standing logo and serve to make the Vienna Library recognisable on site.
